Coskewis: A living dreamscape
of energy, memory, and renewal

Dreaming the Land Awake
Coskewis is a living dreamscape nestled in Cornwall, a nature-based retreat space and family home shaped by dreams, creative energy, and ancient Earth wisdom. Set on over 120 acres of restored and cared for land, it is a re-created Neolithic project, complete with labyrinths, stones, healing wells, energy lines, native trees, and wildflowers – dowsed, divined, and dreamed into being.
A 30-year passion project, Coskewis has been shaped by a deep relationship with the land and guided by intuition, group dowsing, archaeology, and art. Over the years, the project has uncovered Neolithic roots, tribal presences, and Irish influence. It is a place where the ancient and the contemporary intertwine, where dreams, both in sleep and in stillness, begin to speak, revealing what once was and what longs to return.
At the heart of Coskewis are three guiding roots woven through everything we do: Dreaming, Creativity, and Dowsing.
Dreaming
The land itself is a dream. It was shaped largely through dream guidance, and those who visit often experience vivid, symbolic, or transformative dreams. We honour dreaming as a form of listening, healing, and co-creation with the land, both a mystical process and a practical tool for shaping our lives and spaces.
Through daily dowsing and presence, the energy of the land has reawakened. Guests speak of deep insights and mystical encounters. In workshops and wanderings, the land responds, inviting deeper relationship with place, self, and the unseen.
Creativity
Coskewis invites creative downloads; it calls for expression. Just as our ancestors used the land as canvas, sanctuary, and spiritual map, Coskewis inspires art, writing, movement, poetry, and ritual as part of healing and creative practice.
The land responds to creativity. Stones take on sculptural form, ceremonies echo acts of devotion, and paths flow like drawn lines in a living canvas. When we create with intention, the land creates with us, reactivating old currents and allowing the dreamscape to speak more vividly.

Dowsing
Every stone at Coskewis has been aligned with earth energies, found through dowsing and deep intuitive listening. While their placement is not ancient, many of the stones, found on the land itself, carry a sense of former presence. These living markers of intention are guided by the spirit of the old ways, honouring and welcoming the flow of energy beneath the surface.
Coskewis began as a journey into the past, guided by dowsing, archaeology, and a desire to understand the land’s deeper story. Over time, it has become a re-created space where ancient wisdom and present-day presence meet, shaped by reverence, creativity, and listening.
Hidden places have stirred: healing wells uncovered beneath brambles, a labyrinth brought back to life, and stones lovingly repositioned in alignment with the earth’s energy. A recalibration is being witnessed, an evolution in response to the needs of both present and future. Guided by ancestral wisdom, the land harmonises with the cycles, dowsed and directed toward restoration and rebirth.
Coskewis is a family-held project, a labour of love, shaped slowly and intuitively through deep relationship with the land.
Signs of Return
As the energy realigns, life returns in abundance. Birds soar. Deer move quietly through the wetlands. Hedgehogs find shelter in the undergrowth. Wildflowers bloom in a vibrant tapestry, inviting bees and butterflies to dance. Native trees; oak, birch, and rowan, take root and thrive. Even the Amanita mushrooms rise like silent guardians, bridging worlds above and below.
The soil, enriched and alive, responds to quiet rituals of care and presence. The land hums with a quiet harmony, where stones, roots, and fungi are all in conversation.
What began as a private journey has become a shared dream.
Through retreats, residencies, and sacred land-based offerings, Coskewis welcomes those seeking deep transformation, inspiration, and reconnection. It is a place for visionaries, seekers, creatives, and anyone longing to root themselves in a deeper story of balance, renewal, and belonging.
Coskewis is both ancient and visionary. A dreamscape in motion, shaped by intuition, imagination, and earth wisdom.

FAQs
How did Coskewis begin?
Once a forgotten land, rich with untold stories, Coskewis was reawakened by a family drawn to its ancient heart. In a child’s vivid dream, a fairytale cottage nestled in the woods appeared, sparking a deep, unexplainable pull. In the late 80s, Mandy set off to find this dreamland. Her journey led her to a hidden corner of Cornwall, overtaken by brambles and the remnants of a cottage. In that moment, she felt an undeniable connection, knowing she had found her home. David, who had wandered the land since childhood, joined her with his deep-rooted connection to the land, its history, and a wealth of knowledge in farming, dowsing, and archaeology. Together, they began to unravel the land’s mysteries, as its energy and ancient secrets slowly revealed themselves. Their daughter, Polly, now shares their 30 years of work, welcoming those who feel called to join in healing, celebration, and the magic of this place.
Who are the Coskewis family?
Mandy is an artist, willow weaver, and dreamer. After leaving behind a creative career in theatre and television, she now embraces life as a true dweller of the woods. She finds joy in nurturing the land, whether tending to her vegetable plot, sowing seeds, or crafting intricate willow arches. Her work is deeply inspired by nature and the beauty that surrounds her.
David is a lifelong Cornish farmer and professional dowser, with a profound connection to the land. He has an intuitive understanding of how things grow and the flow of energy within the earth, shaping his approach to both farming and dowsing.
Polly is a dreamer, practices Reiki, sound and Yin, has studied bioregionalism and is a speaker of many things ancient. She also coordinates an art gallery, where she connects with inspiring artists, fostering collaborations that result in beautiful creative partnerships.
Are the stones ancient?
It’s important to note that the sites we’ve studied and recreated are based on our understanding of what may have once existed, informed by dowsing, archaeological discoveries, and the stones mostly found on the land. These stone placements are not classified as ancient, yet they hold deep sacred significance for those who feel a connection. While we have dedicated 30 years to researching and exploring the land’s history, this project has naturally evolved into a mission that focuses on what needs to be rebirthed for the present and future – environmentally, collectively, and personally.
How can I visit?
Coskewis is a special, private sanctuary nestled in the heart of Cornwall, where the ancient energies of the land guide our work and healing. Due to its intimate nature, visits are typically by invitation only; available to those staying in our cottage, attending workshops, booking 1:1 therapies, or working in collaboration with us.
For those feeling called to experience the land, we offer a variety of workshops throughout the year, where you can connect with the land, and partake in the magic of the space. These experiences provide an opportunity to engage with the land in a meaningful way, allowing its wisdom to unfold.
If you’re interested in visiting, we invite you to explore the retreat and workshop options on our website or contact us to find out more about upcoming opportunities to join us.
What is dowsing?
Dowsing is an ancient art where practitioners use a pair of rods, a pendulum, or a forked rod to tap into the unseen currents of the Earth, channeling subtle energies to uncover water sources, or lost secrets. It is a mystical dance between the seeker and the natural world, guided by intuition and the whispers of the land.
What’s the science behind Earth energy?
The Earth is a living organism, with an intricate web of energy lines that flow through its surface, often referred to as ley lines, energy grids, or geomagnetic fields. These invisible lines of energy connect many points of power across the planet, influencing not only the environment but also the living organisms within it. Just as the human body has energy meridians that can affect physical and emotional health, the Earth’s energy grid is believed to impact the health and vitality of the land. Research in geomancy and dowsing has suggested that these energy lines can be harnessed for healing, spiritual growth, and alignment with the natural rhythms of the planet. When in harmony with these lines, both the land and its inhabitants can experience enhanced wellbeing, greater biodiversity, and a deeper connection to the Earth’s ancient wisdom.
